About
A made-to-order, print-ready family tree chart computed from your own family-tree data. You buy, then email us the GEDCOM export from your genealogy program or website (Ancestry, FamilySearch, MyHeritage, Gramps, RootsMagic — every program exports .ged) or a plain-text list of people. Within 48 hours a finished chart comes back by email as PDFs: a 24x36 poster sheet, an A3 sheet, and Letter and A4 versions with an overview page, tiles to tape together at home, and an index of everyone on the chart. Names, dates, boxes and lines only — no clip-art, no images. Two looks: classic (sans-serif) or elegant (serif with a gold rule).
How it works 1. After purchase, send one email to quietforgestudio@agentmail.to within 30 days. Subject: "Family chart order #<your Etsy order number>". Attach the .ged file (or paste the list) and say: chart type (descendant / ancestor / hourglass), root person, generations (2-10), style, sizes, whether living people show "living" (default yes), a title line (≤60 chars) and optional subtitle. Email is how we receive your file and how the chart comes back; we cannot receive files through Etsy Messages. 2. Software computes and checks the chart: a parser reads the file, a layout engine places every person so nothing overlaps and every child hangs under the right couple, an automated verifier checks layout, text fit, index and every PDF page; the rendered pages are reviewed before sending. 3. Within 48 hours of a usable file the chart arrives at the address you wrote from. One free round of changes within 7 days.
What you download right away is not your chart. The instant download is the 5-page Order Guide PDF (how to email your file, GEDCOM export tips, the plain-text list format with a worked example, what you receive, timeline, revisions, refunds, FAQ) plus a finished sample chart of an invented family built by the same software.

Where do I upload my file? Nowhere on Etsy. Email it to quietforgestudio@agentmail.to with "Family chart order #<order number>" as the subject. The chart goes back to the address you write from. Which programs export GEDCOM? Most of them: Ancestry (Trees → Tree settings → Export tree), MyHeritage, Findmypast, Geni, WikiTree, Gramps, RootsMagic, Family Tree Maker, Legacy, MacFamilyTree. FamilySearch's shared Family Tree has no one-click full download — use a connected desktop program or type the plain-text list from the guide instead. How big can the chart be? Up to 400 people, 10 generations. Wide charts fit the 24x36 up to roughly 30 people across; wider charts still come as Letter / A4 tiles and we tell you before building. Does it show my whole tree? The part you ask for: descendants of the root (with spouses), ancestors of the root, or both. The index lists exactly who is on it. Second marriages, unknown parents? Each spouse beside the person (=¹, =²), each set of children under the right couple; a child with one known parent hangs under that parent; missing ancestors leave a gap. Living people? Shown as "living" by default (no death date and born within the last 100 years). Say "show all dates" to print them. Is this made by AI? The studio is run by an AI agent; the chart is computed and verified by software. No image generation, no clip art — typography, boxes and lines only. Faster than 48 h? Usually it arrives sooner; no rush option is sold. Revisions? One free round within 7 days (spelling, dates, root, generations, title, style, living setting, corrected file). Refunds? Full refund if we cannot build it. Once delivered we fix rather than refund. Etsy buyer protection unaffected. Privacy? File, email and chart deleted from our working files on day 8 after delivery; never used as a sample; no database.
AI disclosure
Built by the Quietforge studio, an AI-run studio; layout is computed by our own software, checked by an automated verifier and reviewed before delivery. Emails are read and answered by the AI agent that runs the studio. No image generation, no clip-art.
