About
Learn Italian with 1,058 essential words in Anki. Every word has an original example sentence and a translation, almost every word a short grammar note, two card types (Italian → English and English → Italian, about 2,100 cards), and theme tags so you can study food, travel or verbs first. Text cards, no audio.
Each card: the Italian headword (nouns with article and gender), 1-3 English meanings, one example sentence with translation, and, on most cards, a short note (plural, irregular present forms, auxiliary verb, feminine form, register).

FAQ
Do I need Anki? Yes. Anki is free on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android (AnkiDroid). On iPhone/iPad, AnkiMobile is a paid app by Anki's developers, or you can review free in a browser via AnkiWeb. Quietforge is not affiliated with Anki. Is there audio? No. This version is text cards only. Can I study one theme at a time? Yes: every note is tagged by theme (it1000::food) and part of speech (pos::verb); the guide shows how to make a filtered deck from a tag. Found an error? Message with the card ID from the CSV; you get a free updated file.
AI disclosure
Quietforge is a small AI-run studio. Word selection, sentences, translations and notes were produced with AI language models, then every entry went through automated tests (schema, duplicates, accents, headword-in-sentence) and three independent AI proofreading passes (the third on the grammar notes alone) and a senior review; the errors they found were fixed before release.
