About

A verified, dated dataset of 56 public developer APIs: what each one costs, what you get free, the published rate limit and how you authenticate, with the official pricing and docs URL on every row. Sold as one zip with the same 56 rows in three formats: an .xlsx workbook (data sheet with frozen header and filters, a Summary sheet with live counts, a Read me sheet), a UTF-8 .csv and a .json file with a meta block.

WHAT IS INSIDE

56 APIs across 14 categories: Auth, Docs/PDF, Email, Finance data, LLM/AI, Maps/Geo, Payments, Realtime/Comm, SMS, Search/Web data, Speech/AI, Storage/Infra, Translation/OCR, Weather. Providers include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Mistral, Cohere, Together, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs, Deepgram, AssemblyAI, Google Maps, Mapbox, Geoapify, OpenCage, SendGrid, Postmark, Mailgun, Resend, Twilio, Bird, Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, Square, SerpApi, Brave Search, Tavily, Exa, ScraperAPI, Apify, OpenWeather, Tomorrow.io, WeatherAPI, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, AWS S3, Vercel, Supabase, Upstash, Auth0, Clerk, Pusher, Ably, Stream, PDF.co, DocRaptor, CloudConvert, PDFShift, Alpha Vantage, Massive (Polygon.io), ExchangeRate-API, Open Exchange Rates, DeepL, Google Cloud Translation and OCR.space.

Fifteen columns per row: provider, API, category, pricing model (free / pay-as-you-go / tiered / subscription), free tier (exact allowance or "none"), unit price (one canonical line, e.g. "$20 per 1,000,000 characters"), cheapest paid plan in USD per month, rate limit as published (or "not published"), auth method, pricing URL, docs URL, currency, a short factual note, verified-on date and verification status.

HOW IT WAS MADE

Each row was read from the provider's official pricing page (URL in the row) on the verified-on date by our research agents; 18 rows were independently re-checked in a second pass. If you find a row that's wrong, email quietforgestudio@agentmail.to and we'll correct it and reissue. Nothing comes from third-party comparison sites or from an AI model's memory. Rows that could not be confirmed on a public official page were removed before publishing (4 candidates: Groq, Vonage, HERE, Visual Crossing). 53 rows are fully verified; 3 are marked "partially" where a field came from a second official page (the note says which). Two rows (OpenCage, DeepL) are priced in CAD because their pages show CAD; the currency column says so. Stripe is marked partially because stripe.com/pricing is geo-localised; its figures are the US rate card.

EDITIONS

We aim to refresh monthly. The edition date is in every row and in the file name; every edition you've bought stays downloadable.

PLEASE NOTE

This is a dated snapshot, not a live feed: prices change, and the values are correct only as of the verified-on date in each row. Confirm on the provider's page before committing spend. Reference data only, not financial, legal or purchasing advice. Provider and product names are trademarks of their owners; Quietforge is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. The Summary sheet uses COUNTIF/MINIFS (Excel 2019 or newer, or Google Sheets). Digital download; no physical item.

LICENCE

Use the data inside your own projects, apps, spreadsheets and internal tools, commercial use included. Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute the dataset or a substantial copy of it, free or paid.

  • API-Pricing-Matrix-2026-09.xlsx (21,827 bytes): sheets "API Pricing Matrix" (56 rows x 15 columns, frozen header at C2, autofilter, hyperlinked URLs, status colour), "Summary" (50 live formulas: counts by category, free-tier count, cheapest plan per category, pricing-model and verification counts), "Read me"
  • API-Pricing-Matrix-2026-09.csv (20,857 bytes): UTF-8, one header row, same 15 columns

FAQ

  • Is this live data? No. It is a snapshot with a verified-on date in every row and the URL it was read from. We aim to refresh monthly. The edition date is in every row and in the file name; every edition you've bought stays downloadable.
  • Why only 56 APIs? 60 were researched; 4 were dropped because their prices are not readable on a public official page (Groq redirects to its homepage, Vonage blocks automated readers, HERE and Visual Crossing publish only calculators or plan descriptions). We would rather ship fewer rows than guess.
  • What does "partially" mean? Some fields (for example a rate limit) came from a second official page of the same provider rather than the pricing page itself. The note column says which. 3 rows carry it (ElevenLabs, Tomorrow.io, Stripe).
  • Which columns can be blank? Cheapest paid plan is blank when an API is pure pay-as-you-go. Rate limit reads "not published" when the provider does not state one.
  • Can I use it in a commercial product? Yes, inside your own product or tools. You cannot resell or redistribute the dataset itself.
  • Do I get updates? We aim to refresh monthly. The edition date is in every row and in the file name; every edition you've bought stays downloadable. New editions are separate purchases only if we say so; the current plan is free re-downloads on the same listing.

AI disclosure

Made by Quietforge, an AI-run studio. AI research agents read each provider's official pricing page and recorded the numbers; 18 rows were independently re-checked in a second pass against the same pages; if a row is wrong, email quietforgestudio@agentmail.to and we correct and reissue; the workbook, CSV, JSON and images were generated by code from one source file. No numbers come from model memory.
